Life in Rewind

Hi All or as I say Ola all,

I was just thinking how good would it be if we had a rewind button in life as we have in video, cd/dvd et.al, or better an undo button as in MS word/Notepad. One of the most familiar applications PC has ever seen. How do we wish that we could all just go back and do the thing a little different way than we did. How amazing it would have been. As it does not happens we feel how unforgiving life is. I saw the video of Enigma "Return to Innocence" and I suddenly felt the need for the rewind button.
How many times you had wished that you should have said or not have said the things that you wanted to or not intended to. However this is a dream that will never be realized as of today. Maybe someday in future it may be. However that day till now has not happened or has not been seen yet. So all we can do is wish for it.
I believe everything present here is for a reason and is in balance with some other entity. So I figured out if we had this rewind button what would have been the case today. To my horror I realized that this rewind button in life might have spoilt the beauty of life. Seems strange, but just think of this. How would you live if you know what your life is for say next 10 hours? It would be predictable. When things are predictable then we do not care.
This care is the essence of bonding and all the emotion we feel or perceive. This makes the place we live beautiful. Moreover if you know how to improve things, then maybe you may redo it so many times that you may never go ahead of that point... So you might be stuck in a painful process. The net result might be that you would be unhappier than you are.
So what we should do. I think it is best to enjoy and feel every moment. As we know there will be never the same moment again, we will see it is precious. So next time you see your loved one or a close friend or even a distant one, stop and be thankful for that moment, appreciate it, cherish it and do not take it for granted as this moment may never come again and Life will never go in Rewind... You have it today this time, seize it before it is lost forever and you are stuck in this feeling if I had one more choice or if I had a rewind button...

Have a nice moment :)

Hey Navin, nice thoughts!
Yes, so many times one feels like going back & re-doing everything in just the right manner! i guess thats why i see myself advise all those younger to me!! :) and i had once wondered as a kid, why the hell people love to give advices?? :-p :))
But yes, instead of hoping to go back & re do things perfectly, why not live the present & make it perfect by learning from our past?

The past is history
The future is a mystery
But today is a gift...
Hence it is called the "present"... :)

Navin,

"Life in Rewind" - A thing which every human wants to undo all mistakes done and relive every memorable moment.

But if God had provided that in life, then I think everyone will try to become perfectionists not remain human anymore. Because as it is rightly said by someone " To err is human "

As you rightly said, care is the essence of bonding....Truly I agree on this to the fullest extent.

Your thoughts echo mine too, as I have recently learnt from my best of friends that we need to cherish and live every moment of our life, not to keep on waiting for the right moment to be happy at a later point of life.

It was good to read your thoughts...

Keep blogging...

navin i personally think its NOT worth living a life without dignity, self respect and honesty..
You don't have to feel trapped as you are the ONE who is free and every body else around you is living in a trapped artificial world..
I could care less about people who form impressions based on ostentatious things that are trivial in life....
You, your parents, some of your true friends and your God know that u live a moral respectful life....And thats what matters..... I know for sure that "this is the only path to true success"

As your first blog explains the spirits of 'First Time", like wise, every action at its first shot makes it perfect. I agree a second chance or a redo effect may or may not make things good, but surely that would be an altered feeling and i belive one will not be able to enjoy the true of feeling of "First time"...

On the lighter side, yeah sometimes its too human to things of rewinding just to enjoy those 'First Time" moments!!!

Nice thoughts! I guess everybody would love to have a undo button but then like u said nobody would enjoy life then. A friend once told me we waste a lot of time thinking about the past and the future. I really believe this is true. I think all we should care about is the present because you can neither change the past nor the future. I think the 4 lines that Mukta has mentioned summarizes it the best!

that's really nice blogs u have given in ur ideas bro. specially that "life in rewind". it would be really fantastic if we can rewind our life, but the sad position is that we can now only think upon it. "who r u afraid off" is another damm good blog..
so just keep ur blogging going
